Yes, registration on samil.in is free. Although for participating in any auction event, buyers are required to submit an RSD (Refundable Security Deposit) and a participation fee of Rs. 100 + GST.

RSD is a mandatory deposit of at least Rs. 19,999/-, which enables the Bidder to participate in the bidding. The bidder will be entitled to bid up to 10 times the RSD. The Bidder can enhance their bidding limit by depositing additional RSD anytime during the bidding process.

The user can easily pay the RSD amount using two options:

Choose Your Specific Bidding Event:

  • Click on ‘Choose your bidding event.’
  • Select the event you want to participate in to pay the RSD
  • Verify the event details, select the ‘I agree to Terms & Conditions’ button & click on ‘Pay.’
  • Now select the Card type, fill in the card details to pay.

Submit Security Deposit:

  • Click on the ‘Submit Refundable Security Deposit’ button
  • Select ‘Common Security Deposit’ to pay the RSD amount for upcoming events
  • Fill in the amount you want to pay
  • Select the ‘I agree to Terms & Conditions’ button & click on ‘Pay.’
  • Now select the Card type, fill in the card details to pay.

The RSD amount submitted by customers in cash will be refunded automatically to all unsuccessful bidders on the day of the event itself, and for customers who have paid the RSD amount through bank transfer, they shall have to apply for a refund of RSD, and the RSD amount shall be refunded via bank transfer only within seven working days, i.e., banking transaction period. It will be transferred to the account from where the transaction took place within 7 working days.

If the RSD amount is paid through my SAMIL wallet ‘Common Security Deposit’ option than refunded amount will reflect under ‘My SAMIL Wallet’ under ‘My Profile Page’.

No, we do not practise advanced selling. All vehicles are sold strictly through the bidding process. Each item is awarded to the highest bidder, subject to the approval of the seller/supplier, on the day of the auction. If you are unable to attend the bidding site in person, you may participate through our online bidding platform or via Proxy Bidding.

SAMIL does not offer direct exchange or auction credits. However, you can sell your vehicle through our auction platform and use the proceeds toward your next purchase.

The successful bidder has to pay a minimum of 10% of the Bid Amount per vehicle/equipment on the same day to the Seller/Owner. Otherwise, the bid taken will not be considered, and the RSD amount will be forfeited without further intimation. *

The balance should be paid by the Successful bidder within the next 7 (seven) days from the date of declaration as a successful bidder by the Seller/ Owner*

A delayed interest @ 18% will be charged against any amount due and payable by the Successful bidder beyond 7 (seven) days from the date of the event, subject to a maximum waiting period of 15 (fifteen) days from the date of declaration as successful bidder by the Seller/ Owner.

Default beyond the stipulated 15 days will lead to deal cancellation and forfeiture of RSD paid, and the vehicle/equipment/machinery will be resold without further information. Acceptance of payment on a later date will be solely at the discretion of the seller/owner.

The successful Bidder will have to pay SAMIL Service charges @ 1% to 5% or Rs. 2,000/- whichever is more on the final bid amount, plus applicable GST @ 18% on service charges. The service charges may vary as per the bidding location. The service charge is not negotiable and must be paid on all acquisitions.

  • Payment through RSD or Common Security Deposit: Refund is reflected in the MySAMIL Wallet
  • Cash Payment: Any cash received more than 19,999/- towards RSA will be refunded to the unsuccessful bidder in the form of a cheque, DD, or NEFT transfer within 3 working days at any given branch location, subject to submission of Bank particulars by the customer.
